Commercial Asphalt roof installation and replacement in Wisconsin

Installing Asphalt Roofs for Businesses

Overhead Solutions installs more asphalt shingled roofs than any other material. Conventional shingles are remarkably cost-effective and a popular choice for homeowners and businesses. Asphalt shingles come in a variety of colors, allowing home or business owners more control over the aesthetic appeal of their building or storefront.

Asphalt Sheets vs Asphalt Shingles

Since many commercial buildings have a low sloping or flat roof, asphalt sheets are an additional installation option over asphalt shingles. The effectiveness of asphalt sheets to cover large areas with relative ease reduces installation labor, limiting your bottom line cost compared to conventional shingles. For this reason, Asphalt sheets are more widely used on commercial roofs, with asphalt shingles best fitted for the varying slopes of home roofs. Benefits of Using Asphalt for Commercial Roofs

Asphalt is a by-product of oil refineries, making the material abundant and affordable. It is also easy to install and can be made to fit practically any roofing system with limited installation labor.

Asphalt roofs require less maintenance than wood, metal, and most other materials. Seasonal inspections ensure your asphalt roof stays in good shape, as an unsafe roof presents a major liability for commercial property owners. Low maintenance requirements make asphalt roofing ideal for businesses trying to improve their bottom line.

Built-Up Roofing Membranes (BUR) in Wisconsin

Built-up roofing (“BUR”) is the standard tar-and-gravel method used for over 100 years. It’s built with different layers, called “plies,” which provide the required durability and waterproofness. Plies are alternated with layers of asphalt materials, often topped with gravel to reflect the sun’s heat and protect against damage. Built-up roofing is a low-slope system and may not fit your commercial building. If deemed possible, a BUR system can be one of the most cost-effective and durable solutions for commercial property. Get your free consultation from Overhead Solutions to determine if BUR is the best option for your building.

I talked with Shawn who was very nice and knowledgeable. He was very accommodating to my schedule. He made suggestions as to the kind of shingles to get, but did not push a certain "type". The workers showed up on time and got right to work. No one stood around with nothing to do. They laid tarps all around the house to protect plants, etc. They had a truck in the driveway to put all the old shingles in. Only took 8 hours. Great clean up and the went around the house with a metal rake for nails. Great experience. I would recommend.
